Over the years, we have often run walking tours for visiting groups, clubs and specialist societies, who have asked us to design a tour that suits them specifically. If you would like to contact any of them for some feedback about how we performed for them, do let us know.
With a group who require a general itinerary for Cornwall, we have found that the best way to organise it, is to offer hikes in most of Cornwall's distinctly different areas over the duration of the tour, but not necessarily in any particular order - due to the rather unpredictable weather in Cornwall which often varies greatly from area to area. And so we prefer to select exactly which area we will visit each day, as and when we know what is happening atmospherically/climatically.
We can of course prepare you a specific itinerary, but we reserve the right to alter it as a consequence of the actual weather patterns encountered. It's always best to be flexible if possible and know that you can trust us to do the best we can, given the prevailing weather pattern at the time.
Normally, we cater for up to 8 or 9 clients using our own small mini bus, but we can hire a larger vehicle for bigger groups. 16 is a good number for such larger groups.
Most keen walkers have their own trusty equipment (see the article in FAQ's called "Personal clothing and equipment"), but don't forget shorts and swimming costumes if you come in summer, because the sea here is beautiful.
Springtime is often overlooked by many - and we think that late April, May, June and early July are perhaps the best times to consider, due to the abundance of wild flowers and the breeding bird populations; although other good times to consider (apart from summer), would be early to mid September, when it's still pleasantly warm and there are fewer visitors around.
We have also done group tours in The Cotswolds and The Isles of Scilly.
For foreign destinations, we can put together a group itinerary for you in whichever country you prefer. Any country is possible, but so far we have done this for various specialist groups and societies in The Dordogne and The Pyrenees (France), Tuscany and Sardinia (Italy), Madeira - and in Morocco.
